Brazil's footwear accessories, footwear products and leather exports continue to maintain an upward trend. Compared with the first nine months of this year, its overseas sales reached 331.9 million dollars, an increase of 22% compared with the same period in 2021. The export growth of Brazil's footwear materials and accessories is also related to China's and international transport issues, as well as Brazil's optimization of products and services.
In September, for example, its exports grew by 36% year on year, with a total amount of about 41 million US dollars. Compared with 2019 (the year before the epidemic), exports increased by 21%. Among them, footwear chemical products performed well, with sales of US $153.4 million, up 16% from January to September 2021. Upper leather increased by 17% to $89 million. In terms of growth percentage, the sole is the fastest growing footwear accessory, up 47% to 21.69 million US dollars.
According to the data of the Brazilian Association of Leather Footwear and Leather Product Accessories (Assintecal), six of Brazil's ten major export destinations are in Latin America. Other important destinations are the United States and China, while in the European Union, Portugal is the main buyer.
In addition, according to the data of the Brazilian Footwear Association (Abial ç ados), Brazil exported 11.23 million pairs of footwear products in October, with an export revenue of $114 million. Compared with the same period last year, the export volume decreased by 12.7%, while the export volume increased by 21.4%. In the first 10 months, Brazil's footwear exports maintained a rapid growth, exporting 119 million pairs of footwear products, with an export volume of 1.1 billion US dollars. Compared with the same period in 2021, the export volume and export volume increased by 20.2% and 55% respectively. It increased by 35% and 25% respectively compared with that before the epidemic (2019).
